How to tell if best friend not going to birthday party?

My bst friends bday is in a few weeks and I want to go, however she is inviting a girl I don’t like and can’t stand to be in the same room with for 5 minutes. It’s a sleepover and there will only be 4 or 5 girls max so there is no way to refrain this girl. She likes to be the center of attention. So how do I tell her I am not going without making her angry at me.

don’t be a bad friend! if she’s your best friend, you have to put up with this girl! it’s for her.
besides, if you tell her that, she’ll get upset. even if she doesn’t tell you. everyone at the party will talk about you and how selfish that was. i’m sorry but it’s true, i’ve seen it happen a few times.

well its your friends party you should go for her or since you two are really close have your friend tell the other girl you dont like that she cant be there so you can be. im sure itll mean more to her than that other girl to go right. so at least try like that but tell her not to get mad at you that you just dont want to ruin the fun there beacause a big problem is going to start if that girl is around you.
