Is it true that the United Arab Emirates is the largest importer of exotic sportscars?
I heard this from a friend - just wondering…

Not likely. USA probably still is, EXCEPT, they are scattered over a much larger distance. Several countries could compete with UAE for importing exotic sports cars. It’s just that UAE is really small, and there is a tendency for flashiness.
On a per ca pita basis UAE might be the largest importer of exotic sports cars.
I know of a dozen exotic sports cars in my mid size town. They tend to stay in the garage most of the time.
Generally, for true exotics, USA is typically allotted 40 per cent of production of the companies like Ferrari and Lamborghini. The entire rest of the world gets to share the remaining 60 per cent.

I just came back from Dubai, UAE yesterday! : ) While I was there for 5 days, i counted 23 Rolls Royces, 17 Ferraris, 91 Porsches, 8 Lamborghinis, 15 Bentleys and a Mercades Benz SLR McLaren! So from what I’ve seen, UAE is most likely the biggest importer.
